From Vila Velha to the world of bubblegum, The Lungs comes with their debut album "CPPM" (Canções Poéticas Para Mongolóides) wich is an abreviation for something like "Poetic Songs For The Retarded", this is a great prove that its possible to make a good pop punk in portuguese without too melodic lyrics, but in contradiction to it, here we find some really funny lyrics just how rock n roll must be, as on songs like "Eu Amo Uma Vadia", "Garota Mutante" (this one is about a girl that had three tits!) and "Futuro Certo".
The band's sound can be compared to Screeching Weasel, with the classic three chords together with fast songs, without losing it's quality on any moment and always with a great lead singing.
We can also set appart the great love song "Oh, Oh Minha Garota Me Deixou" and the best track on the CD: "Eu Gosto Dela".
Who enjoys a fast styled bubblegum or a well played punk rock, keep your eyes opened to The Lungs.

De Vila Velha para o mundo do bubblegum, o The Lungs chega com o seu cd de estréia "CPPM"(Canções Poéticas Para Mongolóides), uma prova de que é possível fazer punk rock bubblegum em português sem letras melosas, pelo contrário, letras muito divertidas como o rock deve ser, como por exemplo, em "Eu Amo Uma Vadia", "Garota Mutante"(música que fala de uma garota que tinha 3 peitos!!! simplesmente sensacional) e "Futuro Certo".
O som da banda pode ser comparado ao Screeching Weasel, com os clássicos 3 acordes unidos a músicas mais rápidas, sem perder a qualidade em nenhum momento e sempre com um vocal rápido e cativante.
